Yea, I just read that on the news myself… thus why I don’t go out and drink much unless it’s to a place where I know the bartender… And even that only goes so far.
I prefer to run to NV, WY, or ID and stock up; they’re all 60-90 mins away. I spent ~$300 on booze when I went to CA on stuff to bring back.
As for presents for everyone, most of the family all trade still, no matter how old, but ours are all in the $20 range. Just how it is as a family thing.
I did finally pull the Duct-Tape routine this year although I didn’t get to witness the “opening”… It only took him 10 mins or so to unwrap it all… I gotta use more tape and some other tricks next year. LOL!
