your thoughts on wheel adapters?

C5Z wheels would look legit on his truck especially if you keep them the factory grey. OEM wheels look sweet on the right application

I am shopping for some new wheels for my turd right now and kind of in the same boat, so the options are:

  1. All the wheel purists will tell you “buy a wheel that fits” aka spend $3000 on some custom built CCW shit that fits correctly without adapters or spacers. meh
  2. Run an adapter (hub centric and wheel centric) and just enjoy it. Didn’t Mike Naab run a really thick set of spacers on his silver Roush and somebody was busting his balls about it and it ended up completely fine? I think I’ve read that big spacers eventually wear out wheel bearings more quickly in road racing applications…
  3. Remove hub, have a machine shop redrill to correct bolt pattern, pound in new studs, done. Time consuming, some hubs don’t give you the space to redrill

I run inch and half spacers on my xterra to clear my 33’s if it makes you feel any better.
