Funny you mention North Park. They repaved it like 1-2 years ago. And beaverun has a area just for autox, but they also like to sprinkle sand on it for security training. Sand that they don’t always clean off, and their cost to rent keeps going up. Meanwhile North Park is cheap and the lot actaully has good grip now, weird. I can’t complain though, I ran over 30 events last year in the civic. Granted I traveled a little extra to a few, but considering how many months we get snowed on its not too bad. Down in Maryland there is a local Vette/PCA club that put on events at a airport down there that are pretty amazing. They build these huge courses where your taking entire sections in 3rd gear. Also on their 2 day events, one of the members has I think one of the largest collection of private corvettes in the country. So he has a big dinner always back at his place to show off the cars and BS.

Ok try to keep it somewhat on topic. Personally I don’t have a problem with the Shit Show racing. If you were around here the only place I could see it being a problem is North Park, but thats only because there is a playground right at our lot. Beaverun is a little better since its pretty much just racers. So moving my vote I say AA or CC.

When I went to North Park it was pretty bad. The surface wasn’t horrible… but it was bumpy overall. 3COM, Golden Gate Field, Oakland Colusium and a few others out here are pretty much like that but a good bit bigger and I don’t run my car at those venues. You’d nut if you saw the Castle AFB I was talking about though, or the Marina Airport we use too which is similar just about 2/3 the size.

At Castle there’s always a few courses every year where I use 3rd. A few weeks ago there was a long sweeper that I short-shifted into 3rd just before then towards the exit went flat and let the car torque out at around 4k and got half way through a long slalom before I had to lift (I was probably doing ~100 through the slalom). My 2nd gear runs up to 80-something so when I’m in 3rd you know it’s a fast AX.
