Hmmm. My buddy’s SS is doing 440+ rwhp NA w/ a stock longblock (TRex cam and all bolt-ons) and a hair under 600 rwhp on a 125 shot. But even w/ major weight reduction the SS is the same weight as the Z06 at best. The C6 Z06s are doing about 440rwhp w/o full break-ins and no mods at all. With just headers and a tune they’re doing 480 rwhp.
My guess is it is actually a full-weight SS w/ a more typical cam. Figure just under 400rwhp NA and just over 500rwhp w/ the spray. “Round 1” was probably NA vs. NA. The Z06 walked hard w/ several hundred less lbs. and more RWHP. “Round 2” as probably SS sprayed and Z06 NA. I doubt the Z06 ever sprayed.

Yea, it seems like the z28 had to have a ton of power to take the z06 like that, or that the z06 driver wasnt trying or something wasnt right.
