Z31 rear shocks

My 87 300zx turbo has the adjustable shocks but the rears are shot. Nissan stopped making the electronicly adjustable shocks and I heard somewhere that you can’t just replace them with the regular non-adjustable oem shocks.
Comparing the two, the differences are minimal and it looks like the regular shocks should be fine. Anybody else had experience with this?

I’ve used Monroes…blew them in about 3 weeks, although that could be because my springs are so worn. When I put my new Sustech springs in right away I will most likely run Tokico HPs to keep costs down but still have a fairly stiff shock.

Check out http://www.thespecshop.com/ for tons of Z31 aftermarket parts.

Thanks
I will stay away from monroes
I was also thinking the tokico route

It doesn’t matter if you don’t use the stock adjustable shock at all. I am using Tokico illuminas in my z and they are awesome.

Just ordered some HP’s

Where did you order from? How much if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m going to be ordering mine this week and I want to find the best price.

I checked the spec shop that you mentioned as well as stillen.
spec shop - $39 usd
stillen - $45 usd

I ordered from the spec shop. They only ship UPS express though which is $34.00. They said they would be here in 5 days though.

expect to pay duty and brokerage fees from UPS!! On top of the actual shipping cost!!

Shitty dude. I found a place in B.C. that sells for ~$210 cdn for all 4. I’m just seeing if someone in town can match that, if not I’m ordering from them.
