I believe there is a Subaru in this thread but my eyes keep getting distracted by Olivia Wilde.
Is the brake upgrade hard to do??? It would be cool to get a nice set-up on my 2.5i
the fronts on any subaru should be interchangeable through any year because they all have the same bolt pattern for the caliper. the rears i know for wrx need an adapter plate, but im not sure about your car.
the only thing about a brembo set up is the cost. i got mine as a package deal with the transmission so it only cost me an extra 450 for front calipers, rotors and pads which is crazy cheap. brand new for all that would be like 1500 bones. used you can probably get for 650-850 depending on quality of pads and rotors you get with it. plus you have to have the right wheels to clear them because they’re so massive.
just curious…how can you have a 280HP STI at the crank? (unless its a 2.0 and i missed something…sorry pics dont work at school)
i kept my motor and its a stock ej255 (07 wrx motor 2.5l) with a stage II tune. it’s not an EJ257 sti motor. the only difference between the 2 is that the STI has better flowing heads and the avcs (not to mention a bigger turbo)
im a hair shy on the power for now, but im also out of money. i get my job back in april, so by the end of the summer im trying to get a bigger turbo.
but as it sits, my car is more sti than it is wrx. the only difference being the body (obviously), the engine (which mine is very close), and the gauge cluster. even my interior is the same because i have the limited, and the 07 sti limited is the same interior as mine, except for an embroidered STI logo on the head rests and the sti emblem on the steering wheel and the red stitching on the steering wheel.
Got wheel spacers and studs in. Got the shift boot and shift boot trim in. I also washed her and waxed the wheels. I don’t know what pads came with the brembos, but they’re definitely aftermarket and they dust like crazy.

put a front lip on her, put summer rims on. gotta replace the driveshaft because the carrier is worn. also gonna put front camber plates on to dial in some camber.
