2003 Cobra 4PointSex

Well here are the pics I managed to take on saturday before parts started getting thrown.

Plans / parts are Tremec 26 spline input shaft, Lethal performance hardened throwout bearing retainer sleeve, FRPP pilot, FRPP throwout, Spec Stage 3+ clutch with lightweight pedal option, MGW shifter, FORE microclick firewall adjuster, Steeda quick release quadrant, and LDC freeplay mod.

I could’ve had it done saturday had the flywheel not stripped on me. Had the trans out in half hour, this thing is cake to work on.

Started at noon, this was taken around 12:30 i believe.

Old input… makes a great tool to remove pilot bearing… more on that later.

Soooo I’m waiting to call Lethal tomorrow morning. i’m either getting an exchange assembly, or upgrading to a MCLEOD twin. FML.

Do like the wet bread trick!

And who gave you permission to install a lift kit in my Vette?:Idiots

it looks good 4x4 status. I couldn’t imagine one any lower, HORRIBLE to get on the lift as it was. My car is dumped, and i don’t need any kind of board puzzle with a floor jack & hockey pucks. shits weak!!! :rofl

I hear ya man, I’ve got the board deal, etc. I’m so used to it, I end up using the shit on cars that don’t even need it.

I really like those cars man, seriously considering one!

Hit me up next time I’m down, we will take mine out for some open-wastegate fun.

Wayne’s doing straight work this week end. Post tits or gtfo

in for shenanigans in said Vette.

I think Sean and Pauly had an exceptional time listening to me work on that vette. LOL

whats the wet bread thing for?

You push it behind the pilot bearing with the old input shaft, and it pushes the bearing out. Nice trick!

POST TITS!

TURTLES.

acts like a press. I don’t have a pilot bearing removal tool, so you pack the inside / back side of the bearing with wet bread, the use something the same size diameter as the inside of the pilot (ie, junk old input shaft) to push on the bread. The bread will only compress so much before it starts putting outward pressure on the bearing. Out comes the pilot.

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Thats a badass trick. Never heard it before.

you can also use like wheel bearing grease or something, but fuck wasting that shit, the bread is MUCH easier to clean out when finished too. Besides, errrrebody got bread laying round.

Yea, my old man taught me this trick, While I dident have an old input shaft, a small socket and extension worked nicely, although I did use grease… I will have to use bread next time… How the fuck you come up with that?

Oh, and it must be nice being able to seperate the bell housing from the trans.

Prick.

:rofl
