Detail guys...need help....

What is the product of choice that you use to clean leather interiors? I purchased Maguires stuff but doesnt seem to clean very well. What is recommended to clean leather so it looks like new?

we use power blitz at the detail shop, mix it in with some water in a bucket and scrub away. usually works pretty well, then if the customer requests we seal the leather with a dupont sealer.

I like poorboys leather stuff it’s a cleaner/conditioner

by far prob the best

generically speaking lexol is the shit.

there are many stages to cleaning and protecting leather. there are many techniques depending on the stain / what is making it dirty.

here is the detailing nerd question of the day:

why do you need to know if a coffee stain is caffeinated or decaffeinated before cleaning?

Is this available at any automotive store?

yes… most decent sized ones will have it… if you do use the cleaner, make sure you follow directions and also condition. most people apply way too much cleaner and don’t condition it enough.

i also heard that Lexol is the best product for leather…

lexol

We used lexol at Delta…and surprisingly it did a really good job, so much so that I bought it for my own car and loved it

lexol can be had at the local slut boys

I am :tif: on doing it that…I worked at a dealership that did that…

It’s like using simple green or purple power or any degreaser.

Exactly what I was going to write.

the one thing to remember is that you’re not really cleaning leather most of the time… pretty much all cars with leather are coated in some sort of protective finish. so in a lot of cases leather cleaner is not the correct product to get the dirt off of the plastic that covers your leather.

I’d try lexol but it clearly says don’t use on White leather.

^^ I need to find a white leather cleaner for the mazda.

Lexol…yeah…Lexol
