Your Driver Search registration includes:
- Driver’s pass - gives you access to both days

  • 2 mechanic passes - access to both days
  • Podium ceremony
  • Trophies for top 3 finishers
    - Prizes:
    • $500 Gift card for Ondergroud Design for first place!
    • Pulsar watches for Top 3!

Load in: Friday, August 14
3pm to 8pm

  • I highly recommend loading in the night before so that you are not rushed in the morning.
    Schedule:
    7:00am to 9:00am
  • All drivers must check in and prepare for tech inspections.

9:30am to 10:00am

  • Mandatory drivers meeting

11:30am to 11:45am

  • Drivers pre-grid

11:45am - 1:15pm

  • Open practice

2:00pm - 2:15pm

  • Pre-grid for qualifying

2:15pm - 3:15pm

  • Qualifying

3:15pm - 3:30pm

  • Drivers meeting, Top 8 announcement (possibly top 16 depending on time)

3:45pm

  • Cars stage for main event

4:00pm

  • Round 1: Top 8 (or possibly top 16)

5:00pm

  • Finals!

5:30pm

  • Awards Ceremony!

DMCC Toronto is 1 month away and DriftOps will once again be running the DMCC Drivers Search this year!

The final details and schedule will be up shortly. Here’s what we know so far:

The Dirver’s Search will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2009. We will have a practice session, qualifying and finals all on this day!
There will be a podium ceremony at the end of the day for the winners. The cost will be $150 / driver and includes 2 pit crew passes. The pit passes are good for entry to both days of the event.

Again, this is just preliminary information until I get the final details.

Should we start a list? I know Fiddy is in with his hella flush 19’s on the Skyline. Anyone else?

Rules/format are the same as published in the FD/DMCC Pro Am rule books I assume?

I was under the assumtion that this wasnt a PRO-AM type event but more liek a CSCS amatuer style. The same as last year but i could be wrong. Im in untill we figure out what the rules are.

prettyt sure its the same as last year though no cages ect…as that are rules for the DMCC pro am not the drift ops ;)…i hope.

So this is amateurs at DMCC toronto? Do you have any pictures of the layout for amateurs this year? I wanna make sure I can get enough entry speed in the coupe

I know details are still a little sketchy right now, but we’re working on it!

They way DMCC is defining this is ‘Driver’s search’ meaning that it will be open to anyone. So no - cages are not required. Helmet’s are mandatory of course.

This is an excellent opportunity to show everyone what you’ve got and maybe get some feedback from the pro’s. The judges will be the same judges used for DMCC Pro’s!
