Highside Frame X Frame

An interesting animated sequense depicting a highside from start to finish. Circuit is Chuckwalla Vally Raceway and the bike is sv650. Cause of the incident was a mix of putting the bike on a wrong/dusty line going into the corner, a bit too agressive in throttle and chopping it as the bike starts to slide.

Almost looked like he went too sideways and flipped.
Hope the rider is ok, :’( about the sv.

No worries, he’s fine…and this is why you need a good back protector. :thumbup

Quite the find.

Looks like 2nd gen SV with Gsxr race fairings.

He would have been a goner in a lowside if he didn’t chop the throttle anyway, but at least he would have taken less damage, the bike possibly as well.

The interesting part is that the bike actually rotated 180 degrees prior to the flipping as well.

Tracks hate SV’s :ninja

Actually it’s a 1st gen, truss-tube frame :ninja

I’ve been getting into the habit of wearing mine while commuting, it’s actually pretty nice to feel like you have something on your back for protection other than a jacket.
Just need some good shin guards now.

I use a pair from ICON, obviously it is not CE certified, but it is better than nothing. Been wearing it when I started riding, In addition to the added protection, an added side effect is it makes bracing the knee against the stromp grip much less painful.
