whats a highside?

oh so thats what it is!?

pics will hopefully all be back up tomorrow.

damn

could a cage and sliders prevented most of that damage?

lol sliders don’t do a hell of a lot at fast speeds other than possibly damaging your frame in some applications. I don’t think a cage would be very good on a track bike they might hit the ground.

^WHAT TIM SAID.

Ouch.

ive never seen a crash sequence like that, unbelievable. wowzers.

somebody needs to make it into a gif.

At least he got sweet pictures

dude. the look of terror on his face is awesome!

lol if you take your slider bar and start pulling down its like a flip show and you can see the motion!

:frowning: pics no work

so, now that i’ve seen one anyone want to explain what happens and why it’s called a highside?

I haven’t seen the pics in this thread but in essence a highside throws you over the bike in the event of a spill while a lowside just drops you down.

lol at the bmw

Such a nice bike, I saw that video on another forum and lol’d

You’re doing it wrong.

What in the hell was the biker in the lowside video thinking?

Srsly^

I’ve gotta say, I wouldn’t have felt the slightest bit bad if he had gotten run over by the car.

I’ve gotta disagree on the framesliders thing. they can do some good at any speed. bikes flipping only hit the outer points on any side. it’s nice if that point on 2 of the 4 sides of a bike aren’t integral and are easily replaceable
