I was bored, so I went for a test drive!

Correction: You own a OPEL Astra!

The Astra has been in the Opel line for many years!

I don’t live in Europe, I live in Etobicoke, I’m working in Europe…Yeah I guess you could say I live in Europe since I have been here for almost 2 years lol. … But I will be back this year!

And your right if it wasn’t for Opel Saturn wouldn’t even exist any more.

In North America it’s known as the Saturn Sky, in Europe it’s the Opel GT

For those that don’t understand how the OPEL INSIGNIA reads roads signs. From what I understand here in Europe they are starting to instal transponders on traffic signs that transmit a signal that is picked up by a receiver built into the vehicle which then notifies you of what is coming up ahead and if you want you can even put the vehicle into like a cruise control mode and the vehicle follows the speed limit on it’s own and it even slows down on it’s own when the speed limit is reduced or accelerates when the speed limit is raised.
In case of a speed limit reduction due to a oncoming turn it slows down and when the turn it complete it then it goes back up to the speed you were doing.

In the commercial it sais that the car has eyes. It has sencors that detect things from far away. Let’s say you are driving 120 Kms/h and a guy in front of you is doing 80kms/h it will notify you to slow down or change lanes. If you don’t slow down it will slow down for you when it get’s too close.

It also let’s you know the condition of the road if it’s slipery etc. It will accelerate for you if you pick automatic and it will even aply break pressure for you in order to stop the vehicle without sliding. It has the ability to aply different break pressure to each break in order to provide the best breaking possible without making the wheel slide of lock, it’s like a hyped up version of ABS.

This crap is too complicated for me lol.
It has a bunch of cool fetures and toys that I never got the chance to play with.

Personaly I wouldn’t want these kind of things in my car… Just more shit that will one day break and need fixing. The less things that can go wrong the better! …plus less weight lol!

This car sounds like the car from demolition man. But honestly I rather take that raw muscle car from demolition man from ‘the museum’ lol. Catch my drift.

once I can find the OPEL badging, it will be an OPEL Astra. but its got yucky saturn badges all over it.

MY freinds mom has a 2008 Saturn Aura… Nice car…
