WTB: Mountain Bike

Want a mountain bike… 17"-19" Frame, front suspension is a must… just something to beat around on the local trails, I’m no professional.

Go for 29" wheels if you can find one used. If you haven’t done so already, I’d go to a local store like Plaines or Elevate and try the different sizes to see which one fits best. I’m 5’11", 140lbs and ride a large 29’er. Hit me up when you get one, we can go tear up the trailz, bro. Tear them up like no tomorrow.

You should be able to get a good bike at Plaine’s for less than $400. I have a Trek I bought there a few years ago with a front suspension and I paid $350. Damn good bike and comfortable for me to ride 20 miles at a time.

I have a mongoose blackcomb, rapid fire shifters, full suspension, alum frame, front rear disk, bikes pretty much new, could use a chain $250. Pm me if interested.

29er is the way to go. I’m 6’ and ride a 16" (I feel more comfortable on a smaller frame)… You really have to ride a few different sizes to figure out what’s comfortable.

Freemans bridge sports should be ordering in a few 29ers in the next week or so. We sold our last one saturday.

Why do you guys prefer a 29er just out of curiosity?

I just bought a 29er. Come ride it lance if you wanna try it out.

I got a older GT with some rock shox, rides great, looking to get rid of some shit… $150? Just put some new grips on it

If u get a bike, hit me up if u wanna ride. I rode for a solid 3 hours today!

I ride a 26er and love it. Haven’t thrown my leg over a 29er though. I prefer riding tight twisting trails and I’ve read that a 29er can feel a bit clumsy in those situations.

dc2nick where were you riding? I know you work up in toga have you ever ridden the SMBA trails up there?

29er

We gotta find PJB on the bike path and throw a cattle prod through his spokes.

Not yet. Heard About them recently. Have t had a chance to get up there yet. I’ve been riding through the Saratoga State park. I also wanna check out the Colonie Town Park ones

Colonie town park is pretty sweet lots of quick up and downs and a few rocks here and there. Only downfall is it takes forever to dry out after rain. There’s also Luther forest in Malta which is smooth rolling fast single track.

Jason Wallace told me about Luther forest. I gotta check that out too. We should all meet up sometime and have a shift Mountian biking event

Def should.

schenectady central park has a pretty cool trail off fehr ave
