i bought an 04 sentra se-r spec v…6 speed…it has 84k for miles, and it has 2.5l engine…aem intake, header, and exhaust…its throwing the code for the #1 cat converter that has been deleted with the header, i bought an L extender off ebay for the o2 sensor to fix that…but im also throwing the code for RPMs out of range…anyone know how i can solve this problem without taking it to the shop?
I didn’t know such a code existed… Did you get any freeze frame data with that code?
Is it a correlations code between the intake and exh cam ? Where did ya get the car ? Is it red ?
Moved this over to the technical forum for you.
So the timing belt is probably off a tooth on one of the pulleys.
no i didnt get any other ifno, my buddy pulled the codes for me with his reader.
not really sure what that means…lol…and yes the car is red, i got it from cobleskill, picked it up for $2500
maybe i will look into that…thanks
Get me the code number , we see this a lot when the oil isn’t changed often .
p0507 idle air control system rpm higher than expected
That means the I.a.c isn’t allowing it to idle low enough . Not cam timing lol . Ya may have a vac leak or I a.c is Hung a little or the idle got turned up somehow
i did see a vac looking hose comming out my tranny thats not hooked up to anything, i looked around and couldnt find where it would hook to, it may have hooked into the stock intake but who knows. i will look around more tomorrow after work…2500 i couldnt pass it up…it books for 7000
