05 Evo starts for the first time on new build

car just drove down the street to get some e85 should be back soon. I htink the vid has some numbers for lowboost, is e85 pump gas?
doing a oil change too.

So far so good. Car is at 552 whp o 31 psi and we are only about 8 pulls into it. Tomorrow we will check the oil as running without water is new to us and I want to learn more about the situation. After that back on the dyno and should be able to approach 40 psi if the E70 is pretty decent.

Looks good!

Question though. Since this is a new motor, shouldnt there be a break in period before going for all out power? Or is 552whp the break in tune…

I don’t see the problem going balls out. I know buschur throws his cars right on the dyno. If it’s gonna break, it’s gonna break…

what do you think professional drag cars do with new motors? as soon as the rings seat (usually within first couple of heat cycles) you are good to go

actually looking forward to final results

thats what dave buschur said himself… he said his motors can be ripped on right away.

True but professional drag cars are torn down nearly after every run…

People make 800+ whp on a Dynojet with a HTA3586, and this is a larger turbo. I would expect 650 out of this on the Mustang dyno, trapping ~ 160 maybe.

have you got the car on the scales yet? curious to see how light it really is now

Just started back up today… 591 @ 33 psi. And we’re still going. I’ll get a new vid up… here’s a pretty sick video Gleason put together of last night’s stuff with his HD camera:

Oh and here’s the 552 dyno run from last night:

That’s the latest video taken about an hour ago. 591 @ 32 psi.

(If it doesn’t work yet, give it a few minutes- I just uploaded it!)

the video of it on the street on evom was pretty sweet lol.

emery, now that you are using E85, do you prefer it more so now than C16?

Damn I can hear this car from quiznos :snky:

The only benefits of e85 are the price and availability, c16 has a higher octane rating and is an overall better fuel for high horsepower cars that need it to prevent detonation and make as much power as possible

Done for the day! 658/529 on E70. Back to it tomorrow. On my dyno it should be enough power to run 8’s. Now its just up to the cars set up and me driving it there.

8’s??? cant wait to hear your times…

Niiice

kick ass. thats alotta power to all 4 corners.

Dang. What’s your power goal?

To be honest, I dont have one.
