HIDs should be here on Tuesday and…
Got these coming in the mail
Ooooh nice. Come up to NY for some group rides. lol
Are those the smx 3 or 4?
S MX R
You guys should be coming up to New England for a ride, New Hampshire has some nice mountains
What is your shoe size and how do they fit? LMK when you get them.
I am a ‘full’ 13 and I want to make sure I get the right size when I order mine.
You know whats funny is that on the reviews half of the people said that they fit large, and the other half said that they fit small. I wear a size 12 Nike shox which fit perfect but dress shoes I’m usually a 11.5. I decided to go with a Euro 46(size 11.5US). I hope that works. They should be here next Wednesday.
lmk:tup:
Good looking boots.
I should be getting my boots from fedex tomorrow, same size euro 46, my shoe size is about 10.5 so i wanted to go a little big. Rather it be too big than too small. I picked up the SMX-Plus boots in black
Just got them today, they feel really good
those look nice. I couldn’t decide between black/red or just black.
My HIDs came in today:
since the lowbeam is always on(no way to turn it off), I don’t want it flickering while I’m starting the bike. I picked up this switch from RadioShack and will just run it inline:

HID’s on bikes make a world of difference!
Installed the low beam last night then got distracted with other things… high beam will go in tonight.
here is the difference.

Edit: Something I realized is that I have the white balance set to auto on my DSLR, so the before picture is not 100% accurate, they aren’t that white from the factory.
cool… this makes me so thankful i have projectors.
anyway… you’ll love the difference even though you’ll be blinding people
The low beam cutoff isn’t that bad. I know the high beam will be real bad though lol. I don’t mind blinding people… as long as they’re not crashing into me
im lookin at the low beam pic… its pretty bad. lol
Haha… I did the high beam last night, pics of that tomorrow. I feel bad for anyone coming towards me if I’m using the high… it’s baaaad
On a side note, my boots just came in.
Sorry for the crappy pic with my Treo. They fit pretty well.
Pros: First pro is that I can really tell that they are very protective. I’ve read that the zipper is a pain and is flimsy but I have to say quite the opposite. I find it easy to zip up and fasten to the velcro at the top.
Cons: The shin/calf area could be a little more tight/adjustable. Not exactly a pair of boots that I’d want to do much walking around in.
Fit: I am between an 11.5 and a 12(11.5 dress shoe, 12 sneaker). I ordered a size 46 Euro and the size is perfect front to back for the foot. There is a lot of room, up and down for my feet to move(almost like it’s for someone with a fat foot). The calf area moves around a bit, could be tighter there. Overall, I’m happy with the fit and 46 is the perfect size for me.
More/better pics of the boots tomorrow. Next purchase will be either Icon or Joe Rocket textile overpants.
I ordered the 46 as well, although my foot is around a 10.5, fits good enough, plus if you get leathers, you can tuck them into the boot to make it tighter.
Are they bulky and stiff as hell or do they still give you a good feel while maintaining protection?
I hate bulky… especially with bigger feet.
Kinda bulky and pretty stiff. I don’t think I’ll have the greatest feel with these. I’m sure I’ll get use to it though.
