All the Muslim countries are super low rates because Muslim countries execute rapists. Theft is low as well. All the general crimes that are common place here are lower in Muslim countries because of preventative laws that are very harsh but practical.
On the other hand rapists that go to jail and get playstations come out and rape again and statistics prove that as well.
The media tends to also shift focus on anything ‘muslim’ or involving a muslim while avoiding general coverage of the crimes happening in the west. If it were the case, the whole of western society would go into paranoia of all the crime that’s happening around us daily.
Shit where I lived (Etobicoke) before moving back to Oakville, there was crimes around my neighbourhood EVERY day… it’s pathetic. Of course the media did not cover it all day. Shoot outs, shootings, I even heard actual gun shots, but the media doesn’t cover it except from time to time (and you’ll notice that too, it’s like crimes are reported in the media in waves, then suddenly nothing then again suddenly reported all at once alot of crimes).
I’ve lived in muslim countries and crimes are definetely almost non-existant.
Any ghetto areas in the west tend to be ridden with crime, on the other hand ghetto/impoverished areas in muslim countries tend to be opposite. This I cannot explain to you as you did not experience what I have having lived in muslim countries. It’s a totally different atmosphere as well as way of life.
I don’t know if I agree that their punishments are “practical.” Killing someone that may possibly be innocent for rape doesn’t seem right. While it certainly deters other people from considering rape, there are major flaws in that system.
Or how about when some countries will bury someone up to their waste and stone them to death. Is that practical?

At the end no matter what the justice system we humans can error or evil people with evil intentions can manipulate the information and an innocent person could be falsely accused, that is inevitable. However what stands as stated is the statistics speak for themselves. The model of justice in Islam stops problems at the root as well as holds deterants in place. Practical.

For sake of political correctness of the hippie kind the rapist will get a playstation, a nutritionist, a gym and parol given the time.
Islam prohibits a lot of ‘norms’ of life style in western society that leads to a lot of social problems as well as crimes. For instance interaction and etiquette of genders, dress code, prohibition of things that may lead to certain acts (such as alcohol). Look at alcohol and its’ effects and what it may do. Now combine the two, now add a club, a man and a woman together, add certain sexual intentions, insert alcohol, insert lewd dress code, what are the numerous things that might happen? Maybe rape? Maybe other things? Or maybe it’s something simpler, a horny guy who does not have a girl and out of the sickness in his body he loses control being exposed daily to sexually enticing content around him and he snaps and rapes somebody who he preyed on. This could have been prevented if the environment was different, it could be prevented if the education given to this man was that of Islam, it could have been prevented if he was educated about family life, marriage and strived towards that (for instance why Islam again encourages marriage and not promiscuity, pre-marital sex, pornography, etc…).
It’s a whole onslaught of issues and Islam covers these issues distinctly in detail and delicately while western society models norms and morals based plainly on group desire that may change at any moment’s notice.
In practice then what you get is a immoralized unstable society, injustice, stronger exploiting weaker, crimes, lewdness, self-destruction, intoxication, evil inclinations, all these things being normalized or synthesized through a variety of mediums and accepted in different ways (eg; media, tv, movies, music, magazines). It’s a whole collaboration of systems.
So in essence, in practice, ‘practically’ as you said, Islam actually delivers, while western society is morally and socially declining.
Material progress does not denote success. Any society, country, region can acquire material possessions and power. In fact muslim countries are on the decline with their abandonment of Islam and acceptance of materialism as the sole bringer of a society’s success.
The islamic civilization of the past arose from a tribal barbaric people that killed one another. From ignorant blood shedding tribalists to an intellectual prosperous society thanks to Islam. On the other hand in the last 100+ years most muslim countries have been concerned with nothing more than personal wealth and power and are actually not following Islam. So you will find billionaries and trillionaires with gold and cars and mansions everywhere.
Today on the other hand so called muslims have abandoned islam and gone back to nationalism, triablism, racism, materialism. UAE impresses westerners because of its immense material posessions but in fact that is all garbage compared to the history of the islamic civilization beyond material elements. Any nation can acquire material prowess and power.

To simplify and examplify this thread’s issue at hand. Islam would not only look at identifying the criminals at hand (the boys, as well as the older girl) and punishing them once proven guilty, it would analyze the root issues at hand. 1. The mixed party with drinking, intermingling of girls and guys with sexual intentions. 2. The 15 year old girl, what led to her being sick in the mind to this point? A. Irresponsible parents and their upbringing, lack of education, lack of monitoring their child’s development B. School/friends/environment C. Other external elements that influenced the girl. Someone is not born corrupted, they are shaped and moulded by someone and something over a period of time. These things have to be retrospectively analyzed and stopped at the root so the same problems do not re-occur.
In the end the only guilt the little girl has is of trusting her older sister because of her emotional attachment to her being her family, her older sister. Pure and uncorrupted or in the least less corrupted up to this point unlike her older demented sister who has gone to the extent of not only prostitution but prostituting her own sister forcefully. The 7 year old is absolutely innocent and pure and was taken advantage of by her older sister as well as brutally victimized. To sum it up, she can never have her virginity or innocence back, she is brutally scarred mentally for life. No payment in money or apologies or lawsuits will bring that back. The best that can be done is to comfort her and protect her from here on in the present and thus future.
In an islamic environment again the party and the environment would have not been allowed in the first place, promiscuity and the various factors surrounding it would be shunned and not allowed. The boys would be caught and punished. The older girl depending on all circumstances analyzed likewise except not executed but whipped for promiscuity. The boys for rape on the other hand would be executed.
Harsh? Yup. On the other hand if they were in western society, they’d be potentially jailed or considered juvenile and a lot or maybe none at all of media and political coverage but ultimately get away with having comited the crimes and ultimately at one point walk free.
The many other problems that shaped both the environment and the characters in the crime will be replicated and duplicated in many other numerous settings and environments thanks to the root problem of the society. ‘It will go unnoticed. It was a party and people were having fun’. A few drinks here and there underage drinking but hey it was fun! And hence more rape victims will be accounted for statistically. What most westerners will not then realize is that crimes are downplayed and regularized. The acts leading to the crimes are normalized and morally accepted. Things go on, repeat, replicate, duplicate and voila your statistics. Not solving the root problems but fixing them after they occur and they will re-occur for sure.
