When I take my 180sx out (sr20det) and say I have it in first gear and I go full throttle, as soon as i get up to around 2500-3000 it dies, as if it just doesnt want to go anymore. However full throttle acceleration in any other gear works perfectly fine. Could this be my MAF? I haven’t tried switching Mafs yet, as its still winter.
sounds like maf but if it were the maf u wouldnt have acceleration past 3500 i think it is… in ANY gear…
what do u mean by it DIES? it stops completely? or continues to go up slowly…
It basically just Bogs out completely, doesn’t want to go.
On that note, I just thought, this car has a 240sx fuel pump in it, im not sure the flow of them, but could it be that the 240 pump cannot keep up with the fuel demand in first since the revs climb much quicker?
