Been There done that… You can start by doing a little more research. But I know how frustrating it can be. So here is a guide. Pull the codes from your ecu. error code 12 will indicate a bad maf. before you go out hunting down a maf you can attempt CRC maf cleaner. If that fails then you can ask a friend with a s13 to come test his maf( if you don’t have a friend with s13, try the lend a hand program)… Plenty of good people out there. If your car fires up and runs normal… Go buy a good used maf! If not your problem clearly lies somewhere else. There could be a leak somewhere after the maf, or electrical issue(unlikely) So…
1.Test a buddies maf
2. If same problem occurs, start searching for leaks.
3. I highly doubt this would be the situation but there might be electrical problem. In that case measure your voltages at the MAF and ECU and post them.
MAF- First place to start and the most likely problem
clogged cat
^ He probably doesn’t have one, and it should still rev above 2500RPM with a clogged cat, just gutless… If it falls on its face completely when you hit 2500RPM it’s MAF. If it’s just gutless after 2500RPM it could be a plugged cat.
i once met a kid with this sammmeee problem…
dk cristalfx if i remember correctly…
check your throttle cables are on.
dj pyro pete whats up brother?
+1 could also be an air leak after the MAFS and before the throttle body
It’s just running on Eco Mode bro
