This is the car with rust on the strut towers, Andy (Sars) said it would never pass inspection so we went against our own policy and bought the car back. We never touched the rust on the strut towers, it passed inspection without that being an issue. Andy, there were no rust holes…
This is a different 180 that we bought from Typhoon, we didn’t hear any rod knock until we picked it up from a tune at Auto Dream. It had 135,000km…but I don’t think mileage is the reason for this problem, it has a boost controller, some fuel mods, but normal ECU. Someone probably ran too much boost as some point.

This car is not the one your thinking of nor does it have a rod knock so id appreciate it if you stopped whoring up my thread and stopped cutting down my car. i know for a fact there is no rust . there are plenty of black 180’s that rock watanabe’s and my car has more then the km’s you listed . alot more. but it runs awsome and i enjoy driving it all the time. so if you still “think” this is some car you know either PM me of fuck off cus its not and i dont wanna here you shit. enough said???

I can also name a prominent member of n-e-c-c that can confirm all of the things that I have said. I hate naming names over the internet unless I have the permission of whomever it is, but if you want someone to back up what I said, PM me. And I highly doubt that you guys would contest what he would have to say about the car.
And yes, there was a hole in the strut tower. It isn’t visible in the picture, since you would have to look behind the left side (air filter side) of the strut tower to find it. I didn’t even notice the hole until I had a licenced mechanic looking over it as an impromptu OOP inspection. As far as OOP goes, rust can exist on the strut tower, but as soon as it perforates it, the car is unsafe for Albertan roads.
Anyways, I’m staying out of this thread. As I like to say, not my car, not my problem.

Thats canadian, 5zigens are about the same price. I just payed 1800 USD for my set. TE37, and most JDM (work, rays, etc) wheels will run about 350-550 USD PER WHEEL

would those rims be flush with the fenders on an s13 with a 24mm offset? ive been interested in these rims for a while now. i went to kal tire today to see about pricing. $1128 for the 17’s. $667 for 225/45R17 falken zr ze512 tires. after the balance and mounting etc the final total is $2012.39. im sure you can find them cheaper though…

19"x9.5" and 19"x10.5" Volk GTS in satain Ti Gunmetal with 4.5" lip on the rear run about $650US per wheel+duty+GST+brokerage+shipping+exchange. Work Meiser 3 piece in the same size are about the same price if you buy in Canada you are looking at $1000cad/wheel If you step up to HREs its about $1250usd/rim.I have been doing alot of shopping for wheels lately. I will take a set of Meisers or some Junction Produce Scarras if you can get them that cheap and with in 3 months. Look into it let me know.
