TULSA, Oklahoma (AP) – Organizers of a coming-out party for a buried 1957 Plymouth Belvedere could use some help.

The car, which was buried in brand-new condition under the lawn of the Tulsa County Courthouse in 1957, is scheduled to be unearthed June 15 as part of the Oklahoma Centennial.

But unfortunatly I think it is going to be very rusty. Unless they vacuum sealed it!..which I kinda doubt.

More information here if anyone is interested.

nice!

Nice. I like the video. And there is a case of Schlitz beer in the truck.

i watched a documentary on this on history ch or a&e a few months ago… thats gonna be awesome when they yank it out.

We should bury a new scion or something dumb like that and did it up at pittspeeds 50 year reunion.

That’s awesome! Wow that’s gonna be killer!

cool shit. cant wait to see what it looks like when it comes up

I bet it comes out nearly perfect.

I recently got a Pontiac convertible that was parked in the same falling down, dirt floor garage for almost 40 years. It’s in better condition that some cars that I have bought restored…

Yeah but when they dig it up people will think we were faggots. We need something better then a scion. We should bury something… :blue:

CHRISTINE!!!

I can’t wait to see what they dig up

Unless the car was saran-wrapped with such care as to not leave a single inch bare, it will be rusty, at least to some extent. (Due to moisture)

To contradict myself: If there’s no oxygen (underground), it may not be rusty… This is why i’m curious to see what they turn up.

Not sure if anyone is still interested in this car or not. But here are some pics of them digging up the vault the car is in. With all the water in there it does not look to good.
