1965 Tbird Engine BigBlock FORD

Ive got a Big Block ford engine Removed from a 1965 Tbird
Im not sure what it is could be 427 429 Ive tried identifying it with codes but have been unsucessful. It has auto trans attached
Its been stashed in a garage for the last 2yrs Ran perfect when pulled
Its gotta go
Id like $300
Ill post a pic asap

most likely a 429 a very close friend of mine has the same vintage car and he is a huge fag about em . either way decent motor and in the 460 block family

From 65’ it’s most likely a 390. I don’t think the 427 was ever offered in the T-bird. The 429 was a later motor.

it is a 429 in my friends 68-69 i know that . 390 is still a great motor " for a truck "

429 was released in 68.

well that makes sence then lol

google shows a 390 in it

The 65 tbird it came from was some special edition with hood scoops and side vents not a landau edition. Ive never been able to identify it with codes and stamps.
Eitherway its a good engine from the 60’s so someones gotta want it…

Not a special edition…the 65’ all had scoops and they all came with a 390. The Landau was the special edition with 4500 built. It was to honor the 10th anniversary of the T-Bird.

Should be an FE block 390

just what ya need red

I’d have to rip everything out and start again

FE motors are easy to identify, here is an idea. This was my 428 SCJ motor from my '69 Mach 1. Block is externally all the same dimensions, get me the #'s I can tell you what it is.
