1967 Datsun 2000 Roadster SR20 power

Hey guys, here’s a little project I’m working on, since its SR powered I thought some of you might be interested.

Lots of work to do, fabricate engine mounts, trans mount, relocate the turbo away from the steering shaft, wiring, mount rad, I/C and piping…

Going to be a quick little car when its done. Its curb weight is 1900lbs!

Beauty! Love the SR311’s!

Mind asking where you bought it? My dad’s been looking for one for quite some time… I’m having no luck finding one in Ontario…

dude that car is BEAUTIFUL!

dust it off and take more pics!

x10

wow

more pics!

Its a customers car that we’re doing the work to. Its been in his family since almost new.

Uber rare car too, only 1000 '67s were ever built and only 200 were 2000’s

That rules so much. The only car that could make me sell my 240’s is an s2000. And maybe this. holy fuck.

damn, that thing is going to be a monster. Can somebody say Wangan Maximum Tune?

looks familiar…

thats not breslau is it

thats an awsome rare car, almost makes it sad they are doing the swap, killing the heritage of the car…but im not against the swap since that little car will fly!

Yeah we’re located in the 'Slau (Breslau)

Oh and I lied, got the info wrong on the car. Its actually a 1968 which is more common. Its #4510

Well its been a little while now, time for updates

It turns out swapping SR’s into these cars is very popular and a small company in the US sells motor mount kits for it! Took a while to get them but were going full tilt at it now.

The body had to come off to fit everything easier.

Heres the mounts

Leveling the chassis to get the right pinion angle

Figuring out where I need to cut

Mount kit welded to the frame

X frame cut to accept the tranny mount and speed sensor

MORE! i fucking love this build!

Moar

A little Mazda love

Sitting perfect

Body goes back on, check out the clearances then its off to the body shop.

Hey man, My dad’s got one of these aswell, his is KA-DE powered with ITB’s and some other goodies.

You have a PM sir

sick build and nice custo work on the frame!

I saw one for sale real cheap on kijiji recently. I was SOOO tempted, but I don’t have the space or skills to do anything with it unfortunately.

Keep us updated!

Amazing work Joe. I wonder if the customer is ready for over a hundred hour Invoice…?

Hey Jordan, long time man!

He’s cool with it, just wait until you see some of the fab work we will be doing for the exhaust and I/C piping.
I just sent the rolling shell over to the body guy today, so it’ll be a couple weeks until it comes back for wiring and more fab work.

Updates:

I welded a tubular header for the stock turbo to locate it away from the steering colum, now its top mounted.

Also mounted a little baby I/C up front.

so hot! please work faster!

this is easily the coolest thing on son and id love to see it done for summer.
