Damn you Tommy. That was one of the color combos I was pondering switching to eventually
Is Pat back…?
Yes
I did not like it when he was gone. I’ll be making my way back over there now.

more beers.
Explain? :gotme:
Sorry for the lack of details… I really haven’t been doing a good job with pics but I can explain.
- I would not advise people to buy a BBK from CPP. My kit fitment and quality was quite low. But I would still say it is on par with how cheap it is but they should correct or COMMUNICATE some of the known issues. Had I done more research I could have probably saved some of the headache.
- The brake booster/master cyl sent were the wrong combo. Resulted in a blown out booster.
- Rear caliper was bad out of the box, I had pics of how it failed but not with me. Basically it went out and would not retract
- Rear caliper bleeders are about 10* from the highest point. You need to unbolt them, point in the air slightly to be highest point, then bleed.
- Front rotor hat was a smaller diameter then hub mating surface resulting in the rotor to not mount flush and hence not spin true. This one was tricky because it wasnt big enough to be obvious but the wheel would shake. I rebuilt the hubs chasing the problem before I found another forum member had the same prob. Newman machined the hub diameter for me. THANKS NEWMAN!!!11!!!11!!!1!1 and now everything is good to go!
Only thing I have now is squealing brakes which I have now read is from the low quality pads that come with the kit
HOWEVER this thing stops like crazy. After the suspension upgrades, 18" wheels, now brakes this thing handles and drives amazing. Love it
eww, but
I could have got you hook ups on SSBC stuff…
Damn! Someone mentioned that but I didn’t want to bother ya
If it makes you feel any better I ran into similar issues with conversion kits (rack and pinion, disc brakes, sway bar, tilt steering column, gauges, etc) on the '55 Chevy. They’re pretty much pulling parts from misc cars and making them ‘work’. Everything had to be severely effed with to get to fit properly or perform the way it should. Glad to hear you’ve got the issues sorted out
Oh??
PITA but totally worth it.
I have basically daily driven the camaro the last two weeks. So good
Fu, I want some Italian lemon ice.
Nice…
