Figured i’d make a thread like this since i’m doing my manifold swap soon this spring. Therefore it sorta qualifies as a project car so i have something to write about in here…but alot of work has been done so far.
i already started but havent got the pics of the conversion process. I’m gonna make a detailed thread about it over on thirdgen.org and post results here.
good shot at all the suspension stuff with old rear out
installed new rear painted with POR15
extra 1.75inches per side of rear end sticking out
EDITED: Never did the LT1 intake conversion, well i mean i did and it was ready to bolt on but i never ran it. I got a HSR (holley stealth ram instead)
also need to get my exhaust finished… the car is loud and i may want to redo the system again… i’m lookin for that perfect sound and havent found it yet. i love my idle i just want more tone on the revs. but i’ll wait tilll i get the rear tips fabbed up. not sure if i’m gonna do it myself or pay someone like Jeff to do it since his shop is around an hr away from me and i’m willing to drive that far. once the exhaust pipes are on, teh car can get inspected and i can get racing again! lol
hmm 8am ish? must have been when i took the car to get inspected.
why not the lt4 eldelbrock intake
if i owned a LT1/LT4 i’d consider that. i like the air gap style. but i’m not gonna hack up a 400 dollar manifold to fit a gen I motor lol. i’m not that talented, not even sure this LT1 swap will go good.
Good job man!
That will totally change the car - you will like it…
It will instantly change peak power from 4200 to about 5300+
and will rev to 6500 no problem…
I put the mini-ram on my engine when totally stock, did as mentioned…
Glad to see you going threough with!!
I have an LT1 intake if you ruin that one.
