Nice project.
Mod your “home” on wheels…sweet. Popup flatscreen and stripper pole?

And here is the pile of interior in my garage.
I finally got to HD today. I bought wood for the subfloor, for the counter tops that need replacing, for new cabinet doors, a sheet of laminate and a gallon of glue, new paneling and the paneling connector / edge pieces. $220 bux ish.
Tracking for the roof vent says it will be here thrus.
Im hoping to get the old floor out tomorrow.

I think I’d love anything your hands touch lol.

lol, no.
First, that woudl suck to do. Second itd be like 45 bux more JUST for the tile than I paid for 8 sqyd of vinyl plus the glue for it It was like $22 total.

Nice oscilloscope
my recommendation would have been to do tongue and groove plywood floor so in the future, it wont squeak on you. I sell Jayco campers and they are the best in the industry. They use a 3/8" floor with a one piece seamless Armstrong linoleum floor. This prevents and water from leaking through and you dont have a pealing floor over time.
Well thats exacty what I bought. Tongue and groove subflooring (with the orange waterproofing shit) and Armstrong linoleum to go over it. I scored the linoleum cheap from a buddy who works part time at Mr 2nds.
Im hoping to get the subfloor out tonight and maybee start on putting the new back in. We’ll see what life throws at me between now and then.

Finished pulling the rest of the subfloor and the wheel weels out today. Then blew everything out, gave the frame a quick brush and a coat of black paint (no pics of it painted yet).
I also installed the new 14" roof vent. The ceiling around the old leaky 9" vent is in great shape after cutting the hole bigger.
Im hoping to get the subfloor and maybee the linoleum in tomorrow.
Dan
Damn, that thing is in better shape than I thought!
So I missed taking a few pictures, but there it is… new subfloor and linoleum.
I used tongue and groove “dryply” for the subfloor, with the treaded side down. I RTVd the seams together to keep it water tite, and screwd it down to the fram. Then smoothed out any knot holes and the seams with some leving compound (which looked and smelled just like grout).
End results are a world better than the vintage stuff.

Picked up the new canvas and a screen room today for $210.
It fits pretty good. The one panel on the front side is a different fabric, and has that brown stripe, but for the price, Im not complaining.
I need ot extend the bars that support the U hoops for the bunks. They are about 6" short now.
Im pretty much stoked at the transformation for so little money.

Worked on the interior some yesterday.
I got the wooden ribs that hold the body sides glued to the wall (they looked to have been only taped originally in '73).
Cut, glued and nailed strips around the edge to hold the paneling at the bottom.
Installed two sections of the paneling, just needs to be screwed in at the bottom.
Dan
wow… looks 10x better.
DAMNNNN
Looks much better  Seriously, I know it was the 70s but why was the entire interior yellow?
Thanks guys.
And ya, I dont know what the F they were thinking (or smoking) when they chose all those horrible colors in the 70s.
I recall having a brown and gold floor in our kitchen growing up, and a gold burbur rug in my bedroom. Ugh.

I have most of the interior together now, although I dont have many new pics to prove it. I had to close it up quick yesterday before the rain came.
I painted all the cabinets a dark grey charcoal color (its acutally rustoleum hammer tone black). I cant seem to get a decent pic of the finish, but it looks WAY better than the horrible woodgrain. All of the lower cabinets and benches are in. I do need to redo the one panel, where the heater once was so I can make room for a car radio and some control switches for lights etc. All the lights will be 12vdc and powered by a 11A 12v supply (I scored for free)which should be plenty for lights and stereo.
I do have a few pics of the cabinets installed on the one side. Ill get some more of the others next time I have the top up.
My wife bought some new fabric for the bench cushions and probably enough to redo the bunk cushions as well. 15 yards for $15. Its a cool dark red brick pattern.
The new cabinet tops are also all cut out and the laminate ready to go on. The T-molding for the sides of them should be here by thrus or friday.
12V wiring for outdoor LED lights and two external speaker wires
Support for bench (I did the same on the rear end also)
Font side cabinets
Should have some more pics and an update later this week.
