Awesome job as always with your projects. What do you think your total investment will be in this once you’re done? Time and Materials?
Looks great! Keep it up.
I made it a point a long time ago never to keep track of time on a project. Its too depressing…
As for dollars, I think it will be in the $7-800 range, including the new canvas. It def helps that I got this pile for free.
Dan
Sweet! Yea, I was more thinking $$ anyways. Time is free if you enjoy what you’re doing.
I was reading on some popup forum that the 12V inverters for pop ups are not regulated very well.
You might want to look into that some before ruining fancy electronics.
I have no basis in fact, but I read about it on the internets so it must be true.
Looks great thus far…
I have a nice 110vac to 12vdc Power-One switching supply, its not the original coleman crappy power supply (transformer and diode bridge). I tossed that pos away. This should work very well.

So I have done a TON of work, but it seems I never have time, or light, to take any pics.
Here is one teaser I snapped of the new bench seat this am with the BB.
Im taking tomorrow off to try and “finish” it up (at least enough to take on our first trip). Ill upload a ton of new pics then.
Dan
Haha, awesome.
That looks fantastic. I think if you’re free next week sometime I’d love to stop by and take a look at some of these projects. Great work!
Did you make or buy new foam and/or covers. I never knew how expensive foam would be for a pop up…
A king size piece was over $200.
We made new covers - the wife sews I staple (I have a sweet upolstery air stapler). I reused the old foam and put some ~3/4" super high density anti-stat foam (from the recycle bin here) under it. So at least if you sink in you arent sitting on wood directly.
Yes, foam is very expensive. Even at my cost 3" high density foam is like $110 for a 24x102" piece (I think thats the size).
For the bunks we have an old memory foam mattress topper we are going to cut up and put on top of the old foam. Probably this winter when we make the new bunk covers.

Im too tired to do alot of explaining. Maybee just some simple captions
Heater vent delete. I kept the outer grille just to hide the patch job better.
A/C inlet, beats pullling the stupid cord out of hte hole.
Interior goodness. (notice the two LED puck lights under the benches. Both controlled independtly at the switch panel.
Entry lighting and switch
Radio and switch panel. I made this entire panel from scratch. The heater was originally in this spot. I wanted there to be the same cutout for another storage compartment and also room for the radio and switches. This winter I may have a custom panel made to label everything.
New curtians.
Compltely new countertops. Laminated with this cool “dot” formica and trimmed with new black edging.
110V breaker and ac to 12v dc power supply mounted under the seat.
Upgraded door holder thingy. The bungee cord wraped around the sharp metal bracket just wasnt cutting it.
Dan
you never stop!
nope. I cant seem to, can I?
Dan
Looks awesome
for the panel with labeling you might want to check this place out http://www.frontpanelexpress.com/ they have a autocad like program and you design the panel you want with whatever cutouts and you can do colored text, outlines, engravings and everything you would need.
 good stuff.
Ive acutally used them several times already for other projects
We just got home today from our first outing. All went well, except for the weather. However, the old Brandywine kept us high and dry in the pouring ran sunday night. Hoping to get some more work done on it beforew we use it next, or put it away for winter (whichever comes first).
Dan
Bump… i showed this off today
Werd. Ugh, another project Im gonna have to get back to once the snow clears.
Dan
Where did you find your cabinetry? The hubby and I are looking to remodel our 74 brandywine and can’t seem to find anything pre made.
