1990 Supra

lookin at buyin it as a play toy ( daily driver) you can eat off the motor and the body is in pretty nice shape… still glossy paint. DOHC single turbo 5spd targa top RWD 90,000 miles, but hell its a toyota and those motors last forever, im goin down to check it out again tomorrow and take it for a ride again, seems like a fun car

you might be the new king tire kicker

lol, explain tire kicker… all im lookin for is a fun little car to get me back and forth to work and a daily driver

this isn’t Ian Keib’s old car is it? or was his an 87?

so did you buy it king tire kicker

how much?

youve held that title for a long time :kekegay: no one can surprass you

get there a fun car

easy to work on!

i had an 85 they are a FUN car to drive put a little weight in the back for winter
and they go pretty good to

i had an 87 red turbo 5speed. wish i would have never sold it.

Make sure the headgasket was replaced if it has 90,000 miles on it, other than that, its a good car.

Check to see if it’s still on the original headgasket or not. If so, then the first thing you should look into is replacing it. The Mkiii’s are notorious for the BHG… blown head gasket.

i tested a turbo 90 Supra back in the day…if it’s in good shape, buy it!

they are heavy and underpowered. But still a decent whip. just dont expect it to be anything like an MKIV.

As far as the looks go thats true. Obviously the 88-92 Supras don’t have the styling of the newer ones, but as far as reliability they are just as good. After you get the pesky headgasket issue addressed, the aftermarket industry has lots of go-very-fast mods for mk3’s.

One of the new bandwagon mods with the mk3’s is a 1JZ-GTE motor swap which is the 2.5l twin turbo engine. They may be heavy cars… but not very underpowered with minor upgrades like any other car.

There are a couple of mkiii’s running around with 600+ rwhp now with single turbo kits and a good engine management system.

my little brother just picked up a '82 for 300bucks… mint leather interior, almost ever option from that year, 5spd, straight 6… just doesn’t run right now, the air flow meter is fried…

very sweet car none-the-less

bump

I thought that what was the Neon was for???

how much are you buying it for??

No it isn’t Ian Keibs was an 87 and he beat it to death
