Hey all,
The details are:
Year 1991
Make Nissan
Model 240sx base model
Colour Grey
Interrior Cloth grey
Kms 190XXX kms. I would say it’s more towards 200xxx … the previous owner told me that there was a defect in the odo when he first got the car and had to get it replaced under warranty… I would imagine that would have happened early on.
I am the second owner of this car. The first owner sold this to me after he bought an eclipse. I’ve had this car for 4 years and it has been great to me. The previous owner neglected it a little bit and I have tried to take care of as much as I could.
The good:
The car has a new windshield replaced last year,
new distributor rotor and cap replaced last year,
new plug wires replaced last year,
new fuel filter from last year,
new wipers from a couple of months ago,
oil changed 3 weeks ago,
new brake pads when I first got the car and last I looked were still good for a while, aftermarket shocks and springs new when I got the car,
K&N drop in filter when I got the car,
upgraded headlights Raybrig housings with new bulbs replaced prior to winter and an old set of sealed beam headlights,
Diff fluid replaced this winter,
Factory LSD put in last year as this car came without one. bought one used and got it installed.
Walbro fuel pump put in last year
Comes with a set of winter and summer tires
Comes with lock de icer, 1 qt of royal purple tranny fluid, Some spare DOT 4 brake fuild
Extra engine oil and a new spare oil filter
Comes with digital gauge cluster and heads up display. I installed it for 1 day and the trip meter in the extra cluster and the engine temp did not work so I switched it back.
That’s all I can think of for now.
The bad.
Driver’s side seat has a tear that I kinda sewed up and it’s not bad now.
Has some rust on it as it is an older car.
You have to give it some gas when you start the car… this started after the fuel pump was put in. After starting up it drives fine.
The clutch frame … hard to explain this one without showing you… there are some tack welds that held on what looks like a body for the clutch assembly… the welds broke and there is alot of play in the clutch pedal, but it drives fine … just a bit annoying. If you drive it the clutch still grabs and it drives like a normal car… with some pedal play at the top.
That is all the bad that this car has that I know of to tell you the truth.
I’ve upgraded some stuff out of choice, but have never had any major problems with it besides the fuel pump dying last year.
My price of $2000 obo.
