1992 Suzuki GS500e (It's White bitches!)

This is my g/f’s bike, I’ve been over/through it and it gets a clean bill of health from me besides maybe needing a battery. (BATTERY NOW REPLACED)
1992 Suzuki GS500e, bought last summer…put brand new tires on and had painted pink (NOW WHITE), then put about 100miles on it. ready to upgrade. Great starter bike. Runs and rides well, battery is tired so that probably needs replacing. Will replace battery prior to sale @ asking price.

Mileage is 11,267.

She’s asking $1500 FIRM.

Now in white stormtrooper-esque paint.

How much?

$50

What they said, price?

100

Girlfriends ride…yeah, right.

Great bikes…

checko just texted me and said I forgot to put the price, my bad…edited first post with price: $1500/obo

Sold for asking price today.

lmao

OK, so…this bike might be back up for grabs at $1500 FIRM AS FUCK. A dude off CL left me a deposit of $150, and we agreed that I would change the color and put in a brand new battery.

I bought a battery, tore the bike down, and sprayed it in some white I had leftover from a previous project. there is one imperfection in the paintjob on the tank, but I went through hell to get this white to stick over the (what I discovered the hard way to be) pink acrylic enamel single-stage.

I took deposit on 4/25/13 and have not been able to reach the “buyer” since. He does not have a cellphone, and his landline does not have an answering machine. I have called him on 8 different occasions with no answer, and have re-emailed him asking what’s going on over a week ago all with no response. This bike is majorly in my way, I’ve put a bunch of time and money into it now, and it HAS TO GO.

$1500 cash in hand and it’s yours. Not willing to negociate down on the price due to the super low miles, brand new tires, fresh paint, fresh battery (never even ridden on or started on yet), and overall condition of the bike. Literally needs NOTHING, and won’t for at least 2-3 seasons besides gas and oil changes. Buy and ride.

CLIFFS:

-took deposit
-painted white (NOT PINK ANYMORE)
-new battery
-buyer flaked
-fucking buy it

Also, to give credit to just how well this bike runs, even on a completely cold start…full choke, turn key press button “blip blip RUNNING”. it seriously runs perfect. epicly reliable.

Hey, at least you are $150 richer. oh and put some pictures up of the new paint!

no, we are not. I spent that money on the battery and paint supplies, and swore my ass off painting it. Agreeing to paint this bike is probably literally the biggest regret I have ever had in my life. I am so angry at the situation that I cannot properly express it with enough cursing, I would lose my voice trying to express it. I have now LOST money, time, and my patience with this bike. I have not even put the parts back on since painting becuase the guy never returned my calls/emails. No new pics right now, will try to find the strength to allow myself to put it back together over the next few days and get new pics.

I’m sure you will have much better luck selling it since it is white instead of pink. Once the weather breaks for good, this will sell. It’s looking like mid 80’s weather next week, you should have some luck.

If anything now that its white put it up for $2000 and I bet this week it would sell. If you want help putting it back together im down!

The bigger issue here is how badly my g/f needs this money. she simply would not have sold the bike had she not needed this money. She is standing up in her best friend’s wedding in New Jersey june 7th, and it’s going to cost her $1300 just to be part of the wedding, and we were going to go 3 days early to stop in NYC for 2 days. If this doesn’t sell, then we have to drive there day-of, be in the wedding, and then drive back after the reception (so much for drinking and having a good time). If I could afford to offer a finders fee to anyone who can find us a buyer, I would…I guess all I can offer is some free labor on a vintage bike or something…or a couple bubble tea’s on me.

Which it will take a season to receive lol.

Now in white stormtrooper-esque paint.

(pics now moved to original post)

Have an appointment with someone to come look at it tomorrow.

Looks sharp dude!
