Picked this up a while ago and was going to make a project out of it, but i’d like to pick up a few things for the apartment so i figured i would see if there is any interest.

Asking $1650 obro

1982 Suzuki GS 450T

  • 2 cylinder 8v
  • 12k original miles. I have maintenance records for most of the 90s
  • Vance and Hines 2-1 exhaust
  • K&N filters
  • Yoko front tire and IRC real tire, both new before parked 2 years ago
  • New NGK plugs
  • New battery
  • Fresh oil change

This bike is pretty solid as it sits. Starts right up, idles great, and runs very very good. The paint shows its age, minor surface rust on the tank and some pitting on the stock chrome. Started to clean her up and it is turning out spectacular. It is no show winner, but in very nice shape for being 26yo. And it is mechanically solid

When I bought it, the carbs were leaking a little gas but i never looked into it until a few days ago. Seems like the floats were gunked up and freezing slightly, so I took the carbs off and clean them all up. Im just waiting on the gaskets to arrive, which should be by tuesday/wednesday the latest. After that, she will be ready to ride.

Leak in carbs are now gone. Cleaned the carbs up and re-gasketed the shells and installed new diaphrams for the floats.

Runs like a top! Just took it around the block, mechanically SOUND!

If only I had a couple hundred bucks more… need to sell some of my stuff I no longer use anymore and I would jump on this for my first bike/learning bike for next summer…
