Well, the time has already come to sell my wagon. I bought it in April 2007 thinking a wagon would be a cool way to have a “fun car” and allow the family to enjoy it together. However, my kids have little to no interest in riding in the wagon (they used to beg me to take my 94 Trans Am everywhere), so i’m selling it. I also have no time to do mods/maintenance on an extra vehicle that is not being used.
Details:
1994 Caprice Classic wagon, Light Driftwood Metallic exterior, tan cloth interior.
Less than 97k miles on it.
LT1 motor, automatic transmission, base gears (2.54), NO posi. No tow package. Does have load leveler suspension in rear.
Has tranny cooler and engine oil cooler.
Power windows, door locks, seats (driver and passenger), auto dimming mirror.
Impala SS wheels with 255-55-17 tires on the back, and 235-60-17 tires on the front. Center of wheels are painted black.
Body side moldings removed, first base and home plate deleted (have originals).
Center of grille painted black.
Pros:
Clean car, no body rust, and some scale on underside. Runs good, shifts good.
Interior has no rips or tears, third seat never used before I bought it.
Tires in good shape (50% front, 70% rear).
New rear shoes installed, new wheel cylinder on drivers side. New radiator.
All power accessories work, even the pump for the load leveler, and the power antenna.
Cons:
Needs front pads/rotors, donut in exhaust, and glove door latch/lock.
Headliner starting to droop by rear windows.
Has a few dings and minor dents in it.
Carpet worn through in one spot, drivers floor mat has a hole in it.
Wheels need stripped to be perfect.
Two wheel centers are missing emblems.
Needs rear shocks (air bags are gone).
Thermostat needs replaced (car gets hot if left idling for a long time without the A/C on).
Overall, this is a clean, solid LT1 wagon with less than 100k miles on it that needs no big items.
