95-96 were definately good years for the CR. While obviously the suspension and looks are gonna be a little bit behind the times (it will have a steel frame, they switched to the Aluminum frame in 97), the motors in them pulled nice and hard. In the mid 90’s, the Honda was pretty much the undisputed hp champion. None of the other bikes could touch it in a straight line.

I had a 97. And if I ever buy another dirtbike, its gonna be a CRF450. After riding my friends YZ250F, i was hooked on 4 stroke power. Just need more of it.
