2.8 v6 to v8 in camaro

will i need to change my tranny in my 88 camaro with 2.8 if i put in a v8?
also who sells new body parts cheap i need a passenger side fender /bumper cover and header panel were there lights set?

it will line up but the tranny wont hold up to the increase in power

i know of 2 complete 91 or 92 shells for sale both for 500 bucks

i would be will to buy a front clip for the right price

So ur telling me a 2.8 v6 tranny will bolt right up to a V8 motor?

I’m pretty sure the 2.8 bellhousing is for a narrow V…won’t bolt up to a 305/350 …unless it has some kind of unibellhousing…I think that’s the issue with 2.8’s in an S10 also.

Actually I know it wont I just think its funny quik says it will.

no offense to anybody but my problem is i dont know if the v6 tranny will bolt to a 305 and everywere i ask i get yes it will by half and no it wont by the other half. has anyone actually tried this before? i dont want to seem dicky on here so dont take it that way.

I did it to my 1985 coupe ( 350/th-350) the biggest fucking piece of shit dog ever.

BUY A IROC 5 speed or 350 auto and save the nonsense

or like i did after three thirdgens and buy a FOXBODY mustang and whoop on the mullet rides ( thirdgens ) :beer:

it wont fit,get a v8 700r4,i got 2, & a 350 tpi motor!

i was there about 2 weeks ago and didnt see anything. there were alot of 2.8 engine parts that i didnt need .a few years ago i had a camaro that was built from secrist parts but it seems in the past few years there has been a shortage of good parts .
