2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5rs - $1200

Let me see if I understand this. You have a running 2.5RS and you have a friend with an airport.

And you want to sell it???

I’m just going to throw something out there, feel free to toss it right back.

A bunch of us pitch in $50 towards this thing, a little bit of time, some dirt, and some work, and we build a rally cross course with seriously dangerous jumps. Let’s start to really build an automotive community. Don’t think of it as Communism, think of it more like collective equity. We probably should have a rule where anyone in the car needs to wear a helmet. And don’t get run over could be another rule. I’d saying drinking and driving should be encouraged, but if you roll it over, be it on accident or on purpose, you have to be able to right the car.

Eh?

Id pay 50 bucks to take this thing ripping down some dirt roads and in fields. Come winter take it out to a frozen lake for ice rally.

Haha I wont say I havent taken a few passes… But I much rather do it with my other two Imprezas than the one thats 155hp.

Lmao, you find the liability free land and ill gladly donate.

That was the original intent after all.

In! Where do I sign up?

I’m in for the $50 all you can drink rally party. I have no land to offer though.

Maybe we could get breetime to donate a cage to the cause lol

I have 365 acres in Cattaragus County, we can totally make this work Josh

I feel like the one who sold it to moboost may have been Brian Mingle…if that IS the case, I’m pretty certain he is on vacation with his girlfriend which may explain the lack of response…

or I could be wrong and need to catch a boat to fuck-offity land.

do cars that run STPR down in PA around June have to be reggie’d? that would be cool.
can you have different drivers/navigators each leg of the course?

Im starting to like this idea…

Almost positive they need to be registered. Its even the case with the FLR SCCA Rally-X which I originally bought this car to do (before all of this happened).

STPR has transits on public roads, must be registered. However, they did / do have a rally-X section only, which would mean that you just stay in the fairgrounds, so that should NOT require a registration.

FLR Rally-X @ Perry’s does NOT have to be registered (unless something has changed, I’m pretty sure Slimmer isn’t registered). I don’t know now, but I think he use to allow cars to be stored there. Worst case is you have to tow it there.

FLR TSD Rally is on public roads, must be registered.

would make a good chump / lemons car, no title needed.

I thought all SCCA Rally X required cars to be registered but thats nice to know I guess. Regardless, without a tow vehicle/trailer its still useless if he cant store it.

Texted the seller, no response… I guess this guy is still for sale

I should buy this then get a title for it

LOL

Try a phone call. Then leave a voicemail. Who the fuck sends a text for this type of thing.

So am I correct that your communication efforts have consisted of the following?

I’m gonna say in advance, I won’t be entirely crushed if I need to sell this without a title, but if this car does make it on the road in any sort of short timeframe, ill be entirely disappointed. Id hold that up there along the likes of almost being scammed by a fellow speeder. I’ve now made every attempt within reason to obtain that title

I know that based on our online pestering regarding this entirely FUCKED up situation, other members have made attmepts to contact the PO. Seems like its just not going to happen which is, and i’ll say it again, entirely FUCKED UP.

Style wise, this is one of my all time favorite Subaru’s, and this example would make an excellent winter car, not some scrap and parts heap.

OP- You have Brian’s number. Pick up the phone and call him. He is a working man, if he does not answer then leave a message. I’m sure he would’ve contacted you within a reasonable amount of time if you handled things a tad differently. Starting a thread trying to bash someone’s name (who is well known on here and a good guy) will not help any situation. Just my .02 cents since I know him well.

Also not for nothing but this was sold how long ago?

lol. “Online pestering”

All joking aside.

If anyone ever needs to actually talk to me, pick up the phone and call me.
In the event I don’t answer leave a voicemail.
Works wonders.

For instance - I sell you a car last year and you don’t register it and then lose the title.
