This is more of a feeler than for sure for sale.
I picked up a 325i last week that I was told needed engine work, sounded like it had no compression. I checked the timing, everything lined up. I did a compression test, very low across the board. Turned out it needed a head gasket so I just got that done. I had the head milled to be safe as most of these warp when the head gasket blows. So here are the details;
Year- 2001
Make- BMW
Model- 325i
Transmission- 5 spd manual
Engine- 2.5
Exterior- Black
Interior- Tan leather
Mileage- 237,500
Pros-
Almost new tires all the way around. Even tread wear, vgc
New pads/rotors all the way around
New coolant
fresh oil change with bmw synthetic oil/bmw filter
New headgasket
new timing chain(both)
new valve cover seals
new ngk platinum spark plugs
new battery
new ccv
interior is in good shape, power everything that works
Cons-
exterior isn’t great. Some small rust spots around the vehicle, except the hood which has a hole in one corner. For the right price I can have all this fixed by Warner’s Autobody in Marcellus.
Mileage is high but apparently this was owned by a lawyer in Syracuse which is the reason for the mileage.
Check Engine light just came on last night. I diagnosed it down to needing new vanos seals. It does not affect drive ability but it can not get inspected until it is resolved.
PRICE IS NOW 2750 because of issue
-Car also has an alpine cd with direct ipod hookup and eibach sportline springs.(i can include the whole eibach prokit for what it cost me otherwise I will be keeping it for my new e46)
