Are you interested? You did the same thing to me the other day. If you are a serious buyer I would suggest PMs or other personal contact to come to an agreed upon price.
True, but I think that’s been changing. You can’t look at book value anymore with a car like this.
3rd time - actual auto trader listings.
my mother is interested in a subaru wagon, so i simply asked a question, and you answered and i said ok i didnt know, thanks.
i have been searching for a pcar. though this one is def gorgeous, its not exactly what I’m looking for.
I’m just saying, it WILL probably fetch more than book value, but when asking 50% more than what other comparable cars are selling for/being sold for, it should try to be justified WHY all these modifications make it worth that. no? idc rly, glws
No
these cars have been going up in price.
a similar stock vehicle will get 38-42k

the wheels are discontinued and getting harder to find.
here is a used set I found on stanceworks
http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67389
here is the roll bar setup
front bumper
rear wing and decklid is completely custom but valued on the used market at around $3k
so I guess at the end of the day feel free to go buy the 34k one you find on NADA, KBB or Autotrader by sorting lowest price first
this car has a lot of nice stuff… same car bone stock with no mods and like 20k more miles is low 30s
the better cars are going up and the worse cars and going down.
997 turbo will be the one to watch because it’s better and the last turbo with a manual. 997s are also what will push down 996tts.
walkers is really nice if you want the mods because if you buy a $30k beater example and mod it you’ll spend 20+ quickly so buying his is a no brainer.
I just want a 996 gt3 someday.
also it should be pointed out that I just searched autotrader.com for 2001-2005 911 turbos under 60k miles in a 6 speed manual transmission
here is the breakdown
Range of prices within this search:
- Highest Price:$79,995
- Lowest Price:$34,000
- Average Price:$50,940
?? check out 2001s with 50-60k miles. who cares what a 2005 with 2miles on it is worth when making an avg.
Listen the cars beautiful, I’m not arguing that, or that it will get more than the ~$35ish that its worth. I just said, you’re asking 50% more than its worth - how come? You gave a good list of why and now someone can think, “OH! who knew that one whatever kit was worth $7k alone - all of this makes sense why he’s asking so much more than other comparable cars!”
$6k exhaust, yikes.
GLWS, this thing is gorgeous.
here you go smartass
2001-2002 911 turbo. seal grey exterior. less than 60k miles. 6 speed manual.
Range of prices within this search:
- Highest Price:$49,000
- Lowest Price:$36,991
- Average Price:$46,163
Is one of you searching NY and one searching CA?
im searching “ANY DISTANCE”
A salvaged yellow tiptronic 996tt sold for $24k 4 years ago according to my friend’s cousin’s friend. :jerkit:
GLWS Walker and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Any fucknut with half a brain knows this car will go for damn close to what he is asking out here in Sunny SoCal.
And from the sounds of it, if it doesn’t… I don’t think Walker will be too upset. Maybe that will give me a chance to get behind the wheel.
@XwalkerX ehhhh?
Jesus Christ lol.
I’d buy it but I have no need for such worldly possessions. I’ll go back to forming my image on a ham sandwich now…
Trade my Viper for the p car and truck
same. good luck though - prices on those have been stable for years and aren’t going down. They’re likely to just start creeping up.

Regarding price - if he’s got full service history / all records, the car is worth around his asking price.
If he doesn’t, the car isn’t worth anywhere near that price.
That’s just how it works with Porsches.
BUT WHY DO YOU WANT SO MUCH MONEY???
No, they’re still depreciating rapidly. The only 996s worth any money are the GT2s and GT3s which have both stabilized around $55,000 - $65,000. They aren’t going up or down at the moment.
All the rest of the 996s are tanking, hard.
The air cooled cars have doubled in the last 3-4 years, even the horrific and unloved 964s are now fetching actual money (like $20,000 - there was a time you could have them for $10,000).
I’ve been a PCA member for 7 years, owned 8 Porsches - I keep a pretty close eye on the market for all P-Cars.
