I got a problem with my 2002 Eclipse Gs and I hope someone can help. My factory amp that is located under a passenger seat took a shit and none of my speakers in the car are working. I was just wondering where can I get one of those amps. I have looked online, but can’t find anything. I also looked at some junk yards but none of them have 2002 eclipses. I need ur help. Thanks.
you can try but most of the time the harness doesn’t work
so what do u suggest to do? Should I just go to dealer’s and buy a new factory amp?
it might be cheaper just to look into aftermarket stuff depending on where you buy the new stuff and who installs it for you… I know those factory amps can cost a pretty penny
Your better off just installing a new radio and bypassing the the amp, a decent new aftermarket radio will cost you less than $150 with ipod hookup. You can then just jump the input harness and output harness to bypass it.
have you pop tested the speakers?
I already have installed a new aftermarket radio (Pioneer). I can install it myself, i’ve done it before. I checked ebay and I found this:
which is pretty expensive for a factory amp.

If you’ve already got the new radio, just bypass the amp and your in business. You’ll get about the same power outta it and it will only cost you less than an hour of your time.
How can I bypass it? What is a bypass?

tap the wires at the harness going into the amp and connect them to the harness on the radio
well i said f**k it, i just bought a new amp, high performance with 4000W and 1000RMS that should be enough
