My beater has factory JBL amplified speakers and i belive a small sub of some kind. It had an aftermarket tape player with no faceplate(i clearly understand why now) so i dropped a deck in and yea…of course no sound when wired up the factory harness was already hacked so what are my options? Can i just run speaker wires to each speaker, bypassing the amps?

yea. but for decent sound pick up a small amp and stick it under the passenger side of the dash when running the wires…even a small XPLODE from crappy tire would make it sound primo compared to normal. (i think cavis and sunfires dont have amps at all but i may be wrong, anyhow they sound ok…)
o my, ya man, you best bet it just to bypass everything and run new wire. Hell I would also say just put a cheap set of co-axel speakers in there as well.
