2003 BMW M5 E39

So you’d want the car for $3-5k cheaper, understandable. But that $34-36k is not for a CPO’d car. This car, as the OP states is certified pre-owned. Find another dealer that is willing to CPO an M-car.

travis …if he got rid of the sti

Whoa whoa whoa, easy Cossey, you’re talking to a mullet head with lots of guns… :rofl

These cars were like 60-80k when they were new, an incredibly clean, somewhat rare, low mileage M5 such as this one I’d say that price is right on, sur eyou could have more car, I mean a $7k honda could smoek the shit out of this thing, but what chick is gonna get in your stripped out civic and say ooooo this is so nice, then this M5 pulls up next to you, bimmer dick just winks at her and she’s wet.

:rofl

no.

nice power plant, nice interior…still think a M3 looks way nicer…hate the whole 4 door, wanna be fast car deal.

M6 all the way :banana

going to look at this today with my dad. if he likes it you can pretty much consider it sold :nod

NICE!! Is it gonna be yours? or his?

The way I read the first post it says the car “is passes BMW certified pre-owned criteria”. Where does it say that it’s CPO’d??? Literally, that just means that the car is in good shape, and COULD be CPO’d, but currently isn’t.

If it is CPO’d then the OP worded that awfully, it’s not clear and it’s something you would DEFINITELY want to make clear. If it isn’t CPO’d, then my trained eye for catching dealer’s tricks has treated me well once again. My dad is President/part owner of Armory Nissan, in case you didn’t know.

I said the $34-36 number based on how I think it will actually sell out the door, assuming that it ISN’T CPO’d.

what a dealer owns it for and what they WANT to sell it for are 2 totally different things. … used cars are where STEALERSHIPS make their money. i can almost guarantee theres a 4k$+ markup over what the dealer owns it for. drop 3500$ off the top as a negotiating place and start talking. $39k is steep no matter what for a 5 year old car… i dont give a fuck what it is or how many miles are on it. import OR domestic.

:rofl

Well that was one of the most retarded things i’ve heard. So you don’t care what it is or how many miles are on it. Go say that to my buddy’s dad that got close to 100k for his 10 year old,1998, Ferrari F355 Spider. :confused Don’t say ohh it’s a Ferrari, you said you didn’t care what kind of car it is…The price on the M5 isn’t bad at all…NADA value for that mileage is $28,200 which i’m sure you could get it for.

:nuts

to me, its not worth the money. 40K for a car thats 5+ yrs old? not happening. dont give a fuck if its a ferrari, lambo or whatever… cars are the single WORST investment we will EVER make in our lifetime. (marriage is a close second)

Right because 1st gen Camaros, certain year/make/model old Chevys/Fords/Mopars, MKIV Supras, any year Ferrari, Last gen RX-7…Don’t hold their values and are horrible investments ::slight_smile: I believe a member on here/a friend of a few members on here’s dad had/has(not sure if it’s gone yet) an older corvette that sold/will go for $200k+…Horrible/worst investment he could’ve ever made though right? :idiots :nuts

you are trying to prove exceptions to the rule. give it up. are you going to buy a car and wait 30 years to sell it without touching it so the inflation of the economy makes it worth more? prolly not. cars suck as investments. plain and simple.

To make things very clear, The vehicle was sold as a certified pre owned car 18 months ago, and is not longer eligible for warranty as of 8/1/08 when BMW announced dinnan performance parts will not be covered under the extended warranty. Vehicle meets and passes all other criteria to be eligible today if parts were not installed. It is in incredible condition. Extended service plans on maintenance are available. Nothing tricky or hidden about it.

For the record the values that you guys are giving are your own opinion and will be respected but please do not try to discredit myself or Keeler. If you wanna get clubbed over the head with a ridiculous price somewhere don’t come to me for help. I am a college kid trying to make an HONEST living to pay my way through school. Every dealership is run differently, and i sell vehicles for true market value weather that is above or below what we own the vehicle for has no bearing on what you can buy it for. When a dealerships asks a high price and then drop 3 or 4 thousand off what they were asking means they were trying to hit a home run on you which is unethical and plain bad business. I assure you that will not happen.

For the record i would appreciate it if Travis did not give any quantitative value’s on what vehicles are worth and credibility of dealerships because of common knowledge you have been clubbed over the head like a baby seal with you Subaru and have worked at domestic dealerships which are notorious for bad business.

I am trying to put out a great car and figured you guys might be a good resource. If this post starts to have a negative reflection on myself or of my livelyhood i will be forced to take it off.

DONT JUST COME TO SEE IT… COME SEE ME!!! I will not be giving referral fees if i am not the salesperson.

Cossey, I hate to say I told you so, but… I told you so. :lol

Marat, I’m not trying to call you a fake or a “stealer” or Keeler a “stealership” or anything like that, I was just trying to get a straightforward answer. Not that I’m in the market for a new car at this point, but I do LOVE e39 M5’s and would not like to see one misrepresented :thumb .

Again, good luck with the sale, anyone seriously interested in the car will either pay that price or close to that price. :nod

cossey is not wrong by the way… 99% that with oem parts reinstalled the vehicle would still be a certified pre owned vehicle… no reason for the shop to do that when the person buying this vehicle will 110% want those parts.

Alright, I’ll compromise… he’s sort of right ;D

But when push comes to shove, this car is not CPO, no matter how close it is.

I know I’d want those parts anyways, though insert drool smiley

it would have been mine but my dad said he doesnt like it at all :wtf he doesnt like the red interior and he said its not shaped nice or anything

so wait this car has magma leather???

is your dad on freakin crack? :wtf
