2003 Cavalier [ college kid build]

:+1 the black SRT rims would look sweet man, don’t listen to “94 Sentra Xe”…they’d look good in black.

The SRT-4 rims on the cavalier is a new thing to me, never seen it before.

P.S. where do you go to college?

haha i think black would look good too.

im at hvcc now. 2 semesters left!
then off to U albany i think.

LS1 in the Cavalier FTW! :excited
Or… Northstar? :ponder

And I do like the SRT-4 wheels on it, not too flashy but just enough it looks sweet.

LSx > *

oh god he doesnt know what a ls1 is i think i just threw up a little…

:rofl

sweet find

Nice… Very Clean… Srt4 wheels look good…

those wheels would look good on my DD neon too :crackup

props on your build thread man… work through college too… keep going until you make it

also if you read the first entry… i know very little about cars…
shouldnt be so much of a suprise.
thanks for the link to tell me what it is.

haha speaking of northstar… there was actually just a kid who did swap the northstar v8 into a cavalier…

thanks for all the feed back guys!!!

is this motor the same as the ss ecotec motor (minus the supercharger or turbo :lol ) if so theres alot of potential for these motors, and if its different do an ss swap that’d be sick

ya its the same motor except minus the supercharger… i think the sc cobalts actually have
a 2.0 ecotec… not too sure but i think thats right.
but ya these engines do have alot of potential… a supercharger would be awesome to get!

maybe in a year or so??? no money now

1 vote for boosting it

Fixed it for ya.

+1 i like this dude

The Cobalt SS engine is 2.0 SC or 2.4L. The 2.4 engine would be a nice start for a build since it has some extra displacement and a better flowing head and is the engine GM starts with for their 700+hp drag cars. The 2.0 SC engine is lower compresion ratio and probably a little more expensive. Or there are people who swapped in V6s. A GTP engine would get that car moving

im not looking to get a ton of power out of this… just a fun DD…
saving for cams this winter then a tune… well see what happens performance wise after that…

alright so a kind of an update for this thread… ive slowly been saving money for little things here and there…

since the last time ive posted i currently have a pacesetter header down to a vibrant cat-back… (getting a vibrant catalytic converter welded in soon!)

also have solid upper and lower motor mounts

and the other day i received these in the mail!!!

but yeah… thats my progress so far!!!

enjoy
