Found this and decided to just add to it rather than making new threads.

I swear my 96 had the same damn style buttons/housing and so does my brothers 00 and my mothers 08. I think my dads 12 outback finally has something updated. It’s crazy how long Subaru sticks with something. I’m sure it makes finding interior bits a lot easier though.

Resistors removed from the 08+ cruise control circuit board and new wires soldered on:

Not taking any chances of a ground coming loose and having to pull the airbag again to repair it. Wires soldered to ring terminal:

any plans for doing the 06+ hvac upgrade?
I would love to because the dash on the 05+ is much nicer looking, but it’s really not worth it just for the look.
climate control too
thats nut! id love to upgrade my steering wheel and add controls but ive never done anything with airbags before and id be afraid of not having the right ohms or voltage that the srs system needs
My STi already has the automatic climate control.
I didn’t change anything with the airbag system other than swapping over the charge. On the 08+ it’s a dual stage setup where the 04 is only a single stage. But the bolt patterns are the same for the charges.
oh nice, i would have to splice wires and change over connectors and thats not something im really game for attempting yet haha
No. I would never mess with airbag wiring… there are FAR too many things to go wrong and get very costly…
