2005 Vette vs. 2005 Power Wagon

My boss is in a bit of a predicament. He currently has a 05’ Dodge Power Wagon, fully loaded. It is a big truck with some balls. The original sticker was ~55K. He has an opportunity to trade the truck straight up for a 05’ vette with exactly the same miles and also carrying a ~55K sticker.

He has a Bike, a Fiero, and the truck. He is really contemplating trading the truck to the vette… What would you do? Vote now!

I can provide more details if needed, but I wanted to get this up asap as he is getting close to a deadline on the deal.

Mileage on each? does he really need a truck or did he buy it as a status symbol?

He uses the truck to tow all of his toys, but he could easily pick up another van or something for that purpose.

Both are 40K miles

His is black and in mint condition.

Bluebook them. If he wants a vette, sell it and buy something cheaper to tow with.

Me personally, I’d rather have the truck at this point, but I’m not him.

Condition of the Vette? Has he got the VIN? Carfax, etc?

If he’s in a rush to trade - he shouldn’t trade.

I would get the Vette and pickup a different truck, powerwagon is ok but it really seems like its just a quad cab pickup also looks like it has decent ground clearance but yet tiny tires?

If a truck is 5 years old and in mint condition it isn’t getting used the way trucks are intended to be used.

Tell him to get the vette. He doesn’t need a $55k daily, especially when it’s a truck that rides like shit. Plus he definitely doesn’t need a waste of money like that just to do a little towing.

I would have recommended the vette as well, but he just picked up a fiero for fun, and he rides a lot during the summer. The truck is mostly just a winter / hauling stuff I think this is a hard decision based on the fact it is another toy and with a bike, fiero, and vette one will be neglected. Chances are the fiero will be neglected and it is so clean I would hate to see that. Maybe he will chime in at some point.

Truck… but maybe im partial I love the power wagon… I loved the original sooo much.

Vette all the way. If it were a GM or Ford truck I’d have to think about it. Because it’s a Dodge I’d go for the Vette all the way.
