Now that would either mean all the payments were made, or he’s a deadbeat customer. And… you also mentioned they owe more than the bike is worth prior so i am banking on deadbeat.
Now, if the lender doesnt see any lean, DUDE YOUR FREEEEEEEE. Take that paperwork to the DMV and get the title in your name. Then sell it honestly.

If the OP had half a brain. He would take it back to the person on the title, and incase he needs a little help finding him I have the address :rofl, and dig up the recipt from the payment he made when he purchased the machine from the guy on the title, if there was a pruchase/recipt written up, and ask for the money back. Chances are the moneys gone, so then he could take him to court and go from there.
either way selling it like this, parting it out, swapping a frame/vin… is a crime and isnt the way to go here.
