2006 Ford F150 XLT

Did these come in 4WD?

I’m thinking of showing my pops a couple (he blew the engine on his '92 Silverado K1500 last night in our driveway), but I can’t find any concrete info for some reason on whether or not they were all 4WD or it was an option.

You can get just 2wd versions of that truck

He plows. I asked a guy here at work and he said 4WD is pretty much needed if my dad plans to plow (I have a super long driveway).

What about a used Super Dookie? How much does he plow? More than one driveway?

Sometimes it’s one driveway (ours) or 3 (both neighbors have even longer ones).

What’s a super dookie? GMC Sierra?

I looked on Cars.com and Autotrader.com for 2004+ F150’s, Sierra 1500’s, and Silverado 1500’s in 4WD. Didn’t find much.

I found an F150 XLT (06) with less than 50k for a good price on CL. Dunno how legit it is, but we plan to check it out.

Super Dookie = Super Duty.

Check some used car lots, there are a few plow trucks for sale around here.

Yeah I’ve been looking around online thus far, but will probably hit up a few lots as well.

avoid 04 up f150,s . they have very weak motors . spark plugs break in the heads all the time . and dont have the balls to push snow .

OH SNAP PJB

i told him lolo . he still hasnt done his plugs lol . im gonna hate life when he wants to do em . he is about due for the misfires to start happenning

:rofl

Good to know John. Even if it’s 3 or 4 plows a year? This winter obviously is an abnormality since we get snow every week, but we usually only get 2 or 3 storms a year.

The truck, otherwise, sees NO hard work (no towing, about the only thing he uses it for is things like moving furniture or loading up sheet rock, etc.)

get a chevy 1/2 ton with the 4.8lt and he will be fine

Used GM will be a better plow truck because their transmissions are better than the Fordz.

Get an F-250/350 Crew Cab Long Box with a 5.4L…then call me when he plows.

lolololol the 3/4 tons with a gas motor wont move a snowbank lol

The guy who plows my neighbor’s driveway uses a Dakota with a plow, FWIW. It seems to do the job just fine.

anything will work lolol it just depends on how long and at what cost

:rofl
Thats why I want the phone call, its worth a laugh to watch an underpowered land yacht struggle with an extra few pounds over the front end trying to move snow lololol.

Friend of mine had a mid 90s Ram 1500 with a 5.2 and it moved snow alright. 4WD!
