I’m not digging the view from the side…too long and slender looking, IMO.

I’m thinking it may be a photo chop…at least the side view…I pulled the pic up in Photoshop and saw what appeared to be evidence of tampering…oh well.

Did someone say bi-turbo?

I can’t wait to see the new M3. Any word regarding an M3 sedan ?

I guess they made the Coupe and the Sedan different designations b/c BMW just redesigned the sedan this year (06)

Not so sure… did you see these pictures?

Yeah…I saw those. The only pic I think has been tampered with is the side view…it looks elongated. When I pull it into Photoshop and zoom it 600%, there is a distinct verticle line going through the back end…which might explain why it looks so long.

The M3 will be a beast that will probably (unfortunately) jump in price by a lot when compared to the e46…it will most likely have a 4.0L high -revving V8 with 415-440hp. I’m thinking the bi-turbo 335 might be the way to go if you want to mod:) I prefer the characteristics of a NA engine but ever since I got a Legacy GT Wagon, I’m liking turbos more and more…

I haven’t heard anything recently with regards to a M3 sedan…I’m guessing that there will not be one but who knows?

With a Bi-turbo you would think they would be putting out much higher numbers.

Funny… after dealing with turbos I’m more interested in NA engines. It would be nice to have solid power without worrying about the turbos. Especially at the track. I’d love an E46 M3 but I have too much $$$ tied up in the S. Live and learn.

Not necessarily. My 2.7L V6 bi-turbo was/is only 250hp.

Baller

Yeah thats why that motor is crap no offense. 30 valves are garbage I have done two motor rebuilds on my sisters 2.8 audi. Cost wayyyy too much for any part and you get little to nothing in return powerwise.

Why 2 rebuilds?

Ditto

I’ve never really heard of any internal engine issues with the 2.7L S4 motor. (The K03 turbos are another story) There are plenty of S4’s (mine included) with upgraded turbos that push out 400+ horsepower yet never have a problem with the motor. Heads, pistons, valves, whatever.

Stock motor went at 55k when thrust bearing failed and the crank was cracked (destroyed).
Second motor first it stripped the bolts from the flywheel and then the crankwalked. I have two 7bolt dsm motors and the only crankwalk i ever saw was in that audi  I don’t mind the 2.7 turbo but I just don’t trust Audi
The Lemon Law was created for Audi…

That’s really bizarre-- never came across either of those issues on any of the Audi engines I’ve worked on or modified, including all the V6 variants and the 4 & 5 cylinder N/A and turbo cars. Sorry, but I can’t agree about the lemon law comment.

I’m with you.

Nevertheless, a 335xi would be my next car should BMW decide to offer the 335 with all wheel drive.

Its for sale 85k motor going in. Cutting our losses

Looks like it’s official…The e92 coupe was introduced in the UK today…looks like the new 335i is a porker:(

3571 lbs…damn the M3 could very well be over 3700lbs…for comparison, the e46 330CI weighed only 3285lbs and the M3 is 3415lbs.
