What’s so funny…they all sound like solid picks to me…Reevis is needed obviously, Blades can fill in any holes we will have after we figure out our LB situation, and incase Ben sucks again and we find out he is a bust we have Palko to step in…160+ passer rating FTW.

we will also trade Alan Faneca to Arizona for a second round Pick. so our #2A Michael Bush RB and #2B Dewayne Jarrett WR and #3 OL or DL…
Palko isn’t being drafted till the 6th or 7th… if at all he has a garden hose for a throwing arm…

I am a Penn State Fan… But I route for Pitt too. I like Palko and his leadership he just has a weak arm… he is pretty accurate just can’t throw the 18 yard outs or the 24 yeard outs… and you need to in the NFL
i played against darell reevis in high school he is good i cracked him once lol tyler palko would never be as good if his dad wasnt head coach at west allegheny i believe thats where he use to play
Palko’s arm is average at best. I wouldn’t call it a garden hose, but his arm strength has absolutely nothing to do with his passer rating. He’s a heady leader and will be, I think, a solid backup QB (a Mike Tomczak kind of guy) for about 10 years or so.
Palko would be where he is with or without his dad. His dad is one of the classiest guys I’ve had the opportunity to meet (and I referee high school football, so I’ve met a lot of coaches)
Tyler will probably go 5th or 6th round. I wouldn’t expect him to go any higher than Gradkowski did last year.
^^ I agree…but he is my favorite player and i would love to see him start…I think he is good enough, just have to hope he goes to a team that needs a starting QB with in the next 2 years. His heart and leadership are something you cannot really teach…I think his skill is awesome as well. I think he can train and get his arm up to NFL standards…with a little work this kid can dominate in the NFL…Palko>Ben
i hate threads like this so i’m just gonna keep my comments to myself. but i wouldnt mind having any of those 3 pitt players. i agree we’ll probly take Pusluzney in the first round though. i just get humor out of ppl who listen to Bob Pompieni or someone for a day or two then try coming out repeatin what they heard, like they got some inside info or are some great football mind. but regardless carry-on. lol.

Wow. I played HS ball for west allegheny 98-02 with tyler. He was in my graduating class and I basically grew up with the kid. I wouldnt say it was Coach Palk that made tyler what he is. You would be amazed at the work ethic tyler has when it came to getting better every time he would practice. That work ethic he had pushed us all to work harder and it was the reason we were in the state championship 3 years in a row. Coach Palk was not even Tyler’s QB coach. Our offensive coordinator/QB coach was Mark Davis and he is one hell of an offensive mind. Our backup QB was actually great but sadly he was the same year as tyler and never had a chance to show off his skill.
Im not trying to say tyler is a god or going even make an impact in the NFL. I believe if he keeps working the way i know he does then some good things will undoubtedly happen.
i think Tyler is badass. hes by far my fav PITT player, right up there with Fitz and Marino. i dont think he gets enough credit, but we’ll see how he performs. i think he has the tools to be good.
Yes to Fitz but not Marino. I like Palko though. He’d make a great back up QB, except for the fact that the Steelers don’t pick players from their home town College notice they let Marino go and Fitz. I hope the new coach will pick from PITT though
Palko sucks…if he was a good QB he would of made more starts in his career and won more games
he couldn’t even beat out rutherford and he was horrible with awesome receivers
