Texas is the only team worth noting that TT played thus far, and they got lucky as they got a banged up Texas as a night home game (and still almost blew it). Tech will get beat at Oklahoma if OK State doesn’t take them out next week.
Bama also has had a cake schedule aside from the Georgia game. Georgia didn’t look too impressive against Florida though to put it mildly. Either way most likely Florida is going to put a hurting on Bama in the SEC title game and will be sitting at 12-1.
I can see an undefeated Big 12 (TT) and/or SEC (Bama) team justifiably being in the championship game ahead of PSU as they will have won out. However any of these arguments that a one loss team would be more “deserving” is bogus. Florida already has lost a home game to Ole Miss at home (is Ole Miss 5-4 some unknown powerhouse this year?). USC lost to Oregon State (a team PSU beat handily by 31 points).
Lots of football to play and most likely many upsets left to happen.
