i thought toronto sucked compared to detroit :gotme:
went to detroit like 4 years straight then decided to hit up toronto instead last year. too much aftermarket bs for me.
i think im gonna try to talk my father into going to detroit again.
Ive been to Detroit (I live there now), Buffalo and Toronto.
I think Detroit is better than Toronto, but this will be the first year without Lambo and their fine ladies.
Buffalo is not worth going to. I compare it to going to a dealer showroom from each manufacturer.
Also the new MGM is done now and Motor City has been updated.
Also the Windsor Casino is now owned by Casears but that renovation won’t be done till next summer.
Buffalo Auto Show is a waste of time and space. If you’ve never been to the Detroit Auto show, you should at least go once. If you’ve been a few times, you may or may not want to go this year. Nothing that interests me is being unveiled, so I probably will not go (unless someone gave me free tickets).
meh, i’ll prob just make the drive up to Toronto. much less of a drive so theres more time to look at stuff and do other things in the city if you want. Detroit sounds nice if you like looking at all of the concepts and such, but i like looking at stuff i could actually walk into a dealer and buy should i by chance win the lottery or something. I went to Toronto last year and thought it was great. you’ll never see me at the Buffalo Auto Show ever again.
hmmm it does start on my birthday…think thats a sign that I have to go. Never have before, sad really, I usually end up getting free tickets to the Buffalo Auto Show…I like the World Of Wheels that comes after better.
I have always been interested in going to the Detriot Auto Show, but never gave it any thought. Perhaps this year, if some of my buddies wanna go, we can all head over there. Nobody likes to go alone.

My wife and I are heading up (over) there the afternoon of the 26th, staying over across the street from the show, and checking it out the next day.
you mean the “we have 10 cars so lets call it an auto show and put it in the convention center”?
it pretty easy to get buy one get one free passes during the week days so I might go one night during the week and then go either on the 19th or 26th for a full day.
No Porsche is a disappointment
and pack things in so freakin’ tight that anyone over 200 pounds has to stay near the walls
partschic and I hit up the Detroit show a couple years ago, definitely a good time and worth going to. Lots of cool displays. Anyone considering making the trip should check out the Henry Ford museum as well, its not just all ford stuff like you might think. Lots of historical vehicles/engines/powerplants, all kinds of displays on how materials and fuels, engineering techniques and capabilities have changed over the course of history, industrial and social evolution, racing history…
we did the full tour through the Rouge truck plant also, got to see vehicles being built at several stages of manual and automated processes, multimedia shows, more historical stuff…
all really cool stuff
i never bother with the buffalo show anymore, seems like its always the same show every year
have fun and take a shit ton of pics
Funny story about the Buffalo Auto Show. I was all hyped to go and see the Ford GT, they said it was going to be there.
When I get in side I saw a bunch of the regular production stuff, some new Cadillac stuff, etc. When I got to the ford section it was nice seeing the GT500 Shelby Concept, and the Ford Superduty truck concept…but no Ford GT.
Upon leaving the show when all the cars were getting ready to be backed up I happen to see the Ford tractor trailer there, empty, except for 1 vehicle, which was proudly also diplayed on the side of the truck as “the pace car for an entire company”, this vehicle was the Ford GT, I asked the truck driver why that was sitting on the truck and 4 Lincoln Zephers were on the floor.
His response was “well they will sell more Zephers and ran out of space for the Ford GT”
Depart tomorrow with work for a 3 day trip! Press week passes for free:)
