2009/2010 New RWD Sports Coupe

37g for a v6 loaded… i put it up in the other hyundai thread

screw that, i’m gonna roll with the base pkg, 5spd, and i’ll have to hand crank the windows down cause i wont have power windows, or a/c, lol.

Hyundai Genesis R-spec…promising i must say

Promising indeed.

They’re biting Nissan on something serious though, lol. (R-Spec)

I’d totally buy one. R-Spec is exactly what I would want the car optioned with. I love it. A fucking car company that actually produces what the consumers want.

My cousin has a Hyundai Sonata (whatever their midsized sedan is), and she loves it. The new Genesis Sedan got rave reviews too, “All it lacks is the heritage”… And really, they produce a good product now. They’re finally losing their stigma from their cars of the late 80s, early 90s. Their warranty kicks ass too… I’m totally jamming for the Hyundai dealership in town for my apprenticeship. Them and Nissan :stuck_out_tongue:

I understand with the current economical situation Nissan isnt focusing on introducing a RWD coupe, but IMHO thats a huge mistake. Its not so much a niche market anymore, theres a huge demand for affordable performance and Nissan are missing out big time, I predict the Genesis coupe will turn into something akin to the Civic in popularity. Its priced perfectly and appeals not only to the performance enthusiast, but to those who want a little more pep in life. I WANT ME AN R-SPEC!!!

Oh, I wasn’t shitting on Nissan at all, but I agree, they should totally be stepping into the arena. I’m disappointed in Toyota too, 'cause that was gonna be a serious contender for my new car, I love the boxer engines. Lots.

Genesis will totally be the new Civic, but I’m just banking on getting into them early on to keep from getting lost in the crowd. I just hope they don’t get too mutilated by stupid kids that got one for their birthday… :frowning:

even the base will have all that, you just wont have leather or a sunroof in that package, or vlsd or brembos… oh and they are all 6 speed manual.

in terms of the r-spec. It is something Hyundai USA is toying around with but there is no confirmation on if it will be released in Canada. According to my rep, it depends how the coupe does.

I would think you could just import a USDM one then, could you not? We have the car, just not that trim level…

wow.

im so impressed…

WOW.

like… wow

Perfectly catered… to us

Note: Automatic transmission not available with R-Spec

Thats what i like to see.
